Automobiles: Washing

Save money washing your vehicle at home by driving it on the lawn to wash it. Wasting water is not thrift friendly.  Your driveway doesn't need water.  Your landscape does.  Just be sure you don't use a soap with chemicals that will harm your vegetation.

Here are some more frugal tips for washing your vehicle.

Park your car in the shade to lose less water through evaporation.
Use buckets of water instead of the hose to save on water.
Vacuum the inside of your car to keep to keep the carpet clean.
Clean floor mats to help protect the carpet.
