Blinds

blinds

If you pull your window blinds up and down on a regular basis, eventually the strings will break.  Sometimes you can fix them yourself.  Other times, you just can't do it.

Save money having the strings replaced rather than buying new blinds.  These repair shops can be hard to find, but they do exist.  Check the Internet and ask at stores that sell blinds like big box hardware stores.

Here are some more tips to save money on blinds.

- Avoid custom blinds.  Measure yourself, and then have a standard size cut down at
the store.

- If the bottom of your blind is too long, if you don't want to remove some of the slats,
let them stack flat on the window sill.

- Keep blinds clean with regular  dusting.  If they get very dirty, you will have to  remove   them and soak them in the bathtub, or take them outside, lay them out on the grass, and scrub them.
