Brooms

broom

Save money on brooms and make them more thrift friendly by protecting the bristles.  Always store your broom with the bristles pointed up.  Keep plastic bristles clean by soaking them in soap and water for 15 minutes.  Rinse in water to clean off the soap, and hang to dry.

Here are a few more frugal tips for your brooms.

- When possible use one of your vacuum attachment to remove floor debris.  It will do a
better job of getting into corners and sucking up all the dirt and dust on the floor, and save
wear-and-tear on the bristles of your broom.

- Avoid getting your broom wet.

- Brooms with plastic bristles will last longer and they will not shed.
