Save money on butter by using margarine when possible.  Butter brings more flavor to baked goods, but margarine is more thrift friendly.

Use every bit of butter by saving the empty papers that wrap the cubes. Keep them in a baggie in the refrigerator, and use them to grease baking pans.

 

 

Here are a couple recipes for make great butter spreads.

Honey Butter

Ingredients

 

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup honey

Beat the butter and the honey together.  Refrigerate.  Use as a sweet alternative to regular butter. Cinnamon Butter

Ingredients

4 cubes of butter
1/2 pound powdered sugar
3 Tbsps of cinnamon


Mix all the ingredients, and the store in the refrigerator. This is a great flavored butter that tastes great on toast, etc.
