Save money on buttons by keeping all the buttons you buy or come with your clothing organized.  You can store buttons in storage units like fishing tackle boxes or thrift friendly empty egg cartons. Put similar buttons together on bread twist ties.

For the buttons that go on clothing hanging in your closet, you can put them on a safety pin, and hook the safety pin to the hanger.  If you are really ambitious, you can sew them to the underside of clothing.

If you are having a problem with buttons falling off your clothing and you are losing them, put a drop of glue under the center of the button and press it against the garment.  Remember your button must still wiggle so that it will slip through the buttonhole.
