Tile: Cleaning

A lot of people don't like tile because the grout gets dirty and is hard to clean.  Here is how to clean your grout in a thrift friendly way.   Save money cleaning your grout by bleaching it.
First clean your tile and grout with a general, all-purpose cleaner.  Make sure you rinse well. Put about a quart of water into a cleaning bucket, and add 3-4 tablespoons of bleach.  Wearing gloves, dip a rag or sponge into the water and wipe the cleaning solution on the grout.  Let it sit for at least an hour, and then wipe it off. The bleach in the water should whiten the grout.  Sometimes grout is so old and stained, there is no cleaning it.  If that is the case, apply new grout, and maintain it with regularity.
