Cleaning: Windows

house window

Save money cleaning your windows by doing it less often.  When you clean your windows, clean the screens.  Wet clean them with a hose and brush, or run a dry paint roller over them.  This will keep the windows cleaner longer.

You can use ammonia to clean your windows, or a thrift friendly alternative is the washing fluid designed for automobiles.  You can buy it in large containers, and it has the advantage of not leaving streaks.

The most frugal way to dry your windows is with a squeegee made for washing windows.  The next best thrift friendly alternative to dry windows is with newspaper.
