Save money on corn on the cob when it is harvested and is
thrift friendly by purchasing extra and freezing it. Freeze it whole by
just removing the husk and wrapping it in freezer paper.
Here is a great frugal recipe for fresh homemade creamed corn.
Homemade Creamed Corn
1 Tbsp butter
2 cups fresh corn, scraped from the cob
3 Tbsps heavy cream
1 Tbsp water
1/8 tsp ground cloves
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add corn, and cook until tender.
Add the cream, water and cloves and simmer approximately 5 minutes or until
the corn is soft and creamy.
