Save money on corn syrup by using one of these thrift

2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup cold water
2 egg whites
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla
Cook the sugar, corn syrup and water until they reach 250
degrees. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves.
In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then beat
in the hot syrup mixture. Continue beating for another 3 minutes, or until the
mixture loses its gloss. Add the vanilla and continue beating on low
