A diet can be a step towards frugality and thrift, or an unnecessary expense. Don't waste your money on fad diets or pills. Fad diets deprive your body of important vitamins and minerals, and pills can be dangerous. If you don't change your lifestyle, you will just gain back any weight you've lost.  Eat less, exercise, and the weight will come off.  In fact, with most people, all you have to do is put less food into your mouth, and the weight falls off.

- Drink lots of water.  It fills you up and you will eat less.
