Tips Accessories - Accessories are kept to a minimum to avoid clutter. The five elements of feng shui (Wood, Fire, Water, Earth and Metal) are brought into the room with accessories like water features or color. Clutter - Feng Shui is devoid of clutter.  Accessories, as stated above, are kept to a minimum.  Storage is behind closed doors.  Colors - Cool, relaxing cools in the bedrooms, warm energizing colors in the work areas of the home. Furniture - Style doesn't matter, as long as the colors are harmonious, the furniture arrangement open and flows well, and there is no clutter. Shapes - Rounded shapes are preferred.  Avoid hard edges and angular objects. Accessories - Lots of texture, water features, and other feng shui elements (see above) Colors - Light neutrals Furniture - Bamboo, wood, stone and metal Shapes -  Horizontal lines
