Gift Basket Ideas
by Nikki Willhite
Gift baskets have become very popular.
There is always something in them that is needed. Here are just a few theme ideas.
Dessert Baskets
Choose a dessert, and include the ingredients.
Choose from cookies and cakes, to ice cream sundaes. Add items
needed to make or serve the item, such as ice cream scoops or cookie
cutters.

-
For the Bath
Include bubble bath, candles, body washes, and
anything else that makes a bath more luxurious. Add towels for an
expensive gift.
Games
Young children love coloring books, small toys, crossword puzzles,
and jigsaw puzzles. You can also include small stuffed animals,
easily found at thrift stores. (You can bring them home and wash
them.) For a family gift, include games the whole family can play
together.
-
Grandparents
Grandparents love pictures. They love music. They
love anything made by their grandchildren- especially things that say "I
Love You." Grandparents do not usually want or need material things.
They want sentimental gifts and will treasure them.
-
Music
Fill a music basket with CDs you
have recorded yourself. You can download music from Amazon or Walmart. You
can also include music and techniques for relaxation.
Nature Lovers
Gardeners always need extra shovels, enjoy
catalogs, books, and appreciate aprons and knee pads. If they have
a sense of whimsy, add garden ornaments and bird houses.
-
-
Pets
People love their pets. They appreciate pet toys
and treats. Another great gift is to take a picture of their pets
and give it to them.
-
-
Use a wide variety of items,
such as crayons, colored pencils, finger paints, coloring books, paper,
small balls, tiny toys, story books, stickers, etc.
