Frugal Living at It's Best

by Nikki Willhite
What is frugal living at it's best? To me the best of frugal
living is having a happy family, and enough resources to have sufficient funds
for your needs. When I say resources, I mean either having the income, or the
talent and ability to make do with what you have.
Living within your means is not always easy. For example,
clothing can be expensive. However, it is important to children that they wear
the same type of clothing as their peers and do not feel like they stick out. So
if money is tight, you have to become a skilled shopper.
Eating healthy can also be a challenge. You have to buy a lot of
fresh fruits and vegetables, and do a lot of cooking from scratch. Again, you
must become both a skilled shopper and a good cook.
Aside from the practical matters of clothing and feeding your
family, you are a teacher to your children. The things that they learn at home
are just as important, if not more so, than the things they learn in school.
When money is tight, life can be a juggling act. There are a lot
of things we have to buy, and sometimes we can't afford to buy all of them.
We have decide what is most important.
It is a wise family that has goals, and works toward them, as
opposed to running our finances like an emergency triage room and just
dealing on a priority crisis basis with our bills.
That is why frugal living is important. I doubt anyone reading
this can afford to waste money. Between the needs of today, and the sure to come
needs of our future life, we need to use our money and resources wisely.
Frugal happy families is the name I chose for my new website.
Why? Happy is the goal, and frugal is one of the tools to get there.
