Save money on retail products that rinse hair by using thrift friendly items you can find in your kitchen cabinets.  Vinegar works well on all types of hair.  If you hair is light,  you can use equal parts of lemon juice mixed with water.

Here are some additional frugal tips to save money on hair rinse.


- Leave your conditioner on your hair a few minutes before rinsing.
- Deep condition your hair every month.  Mix warm vegetable oil with a few drops of essential oils

  Apply, massage it in, and wrap your hair in a towel and let it sit before rinsing.
- Protect your hair from the sun which dries it out and you won't need to repair it.
- Limit the use of items which harm your hair, such as blow dryers and flat irons.
- For healthy hair, eat a good diet and drink plenty of water.
- Omega 3 fatty acids, as found in fish oil, help your hair.
