Anti-Aging At Home With Self Made Masks

There are some alternatives that can be easily made at home with easy to find ingredients and with very good results, almost as good as those obtained with the most expensive treatments.

Potato-based mask. Boil a potato until it is very soft. Peel the potato and with a fork, mash it until in a bowl. Add a teaspoon of glycerin and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix everything very well and once it is cold, apply this mixture over the face and neck and let it rest for 25-30 minutes. Wash your face with warm water and dry with a clean towel by slowly pressing and avoiding rubbing. Finally, apply some hydrating cream. By doing this once a week, you can help your skin regain smoothness and flexibility in a few weeks.

Apple-based anti-wrinkle mask. One of the most simple, yet most effective masks is made with apples and honey. Extract the insides of an apple and mix them with two teaspoons of honey. Apply on the face and neck during 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. Dry slowly and with care.

Yogurt based face mask. Yogurt is made from fermenting milk. It contains proteins, carbohydrates and calcium. It helps our immune system and helps get rid of bad bacteria in our digestive system. But these are not the only good things about this wonderful food. It can also be used to make some masks to help our face look younger. Put in a bowl one portion of natural yogurt, non flavored, one teaspoon of milk and the juice of a half lemon. Mix everything well, slowly and apply on the face. In order to have best results, let it rest for 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

There is another yogurt based mask that will help the skin look more firm and toned. It is made with yogurt and carrots. Use a mixer to crush the carrots and add one cup of yogurt. Mix well and apply on the face and neck, allowing it to rest for 30 minutes. Afterward, wash your face with warm water, dry and apply some hydrating solution or cream.

Both these recipes based on yoghurt are not only for the face. They can also be applied in other parts of the body. For this it is advisable to do it with a light body massage. By doing it so, it helps the skin get rid of old cells, helps alleviate pain in the joints and it helps our body get rid of retained liquids.

Cucumber and aloe vera mask. Mix half cucumber in the mixer with two leaves of aloe vera without skin. Add two teaspoons of olive oil or yogurt to keep it creamy and mix until it contains no clots or lumps and its consistency is uniform. Use a little cotton wad to apply on the skin and let it overnight. Apply three times a week and in a few days of use, you will notice the skin smoother and fresher.

It is important to note that, before trying these, or any other treatment or mask, first apply a small portion on any skin surface to test for any reaction. Some skins are more susceptible to certain products and can cause allergic reactions.
