Quick Tips When Cleaning
Up the Garage

by Steven Magill

Organizing your garage may be something of a boring and tiresome activity. But you'd be surprise at how much items you accumulate throughout the years and once things are cleared, you could see how much free space you actually have.

The reason for such a build up of clutter is that more often than not, we take the garage for granted. It has been simply regarded as the extra space one has and the place we put things we don't need in the house.

If you haven't had your garage clean in more than five years, then it's more likely you would have accumulated a lot of items that you can easily dispose of. What's more there may be money in those things you find in the garage.

Here are some quick tips that you might use when you decide to de-clutter your garage:

- Schedule this activity on a weekend and keep to the schedule. It is easy to put this activity off but try to keep it on track. Once you reschedule it, you are likely to keep on rescheduling it, till it's another year gone by.

- Empty the garage of your cars before you start your garage clean up time. You would want to see the garage as it is without any cars to actually see how much space you actually have used up

- Organize your tool set first. If possible, purchase a Sealey tool chest as this type of equipment is a perfect organizer and space saver. The Sealey tool chest is a popular brand and value for money, it enables you to have more space for your garage, to be more organized, and in cases when you have to fix the car, it gives you better access to the tools for both finding the right ones and returning them.

- Set up two boxes: one saying garage sale, the other saying keepers. These should be big boxes and this is for your first sifting of items that you find that you can live without, and those that you cannot. These boxes can be later divided into sub categories. You can even categorized items for Ebay and another for garage sale.

- Make sure your wife and or significant other knows about your garage clean up and sees the items on the respective boxes. You may be placing items that may not be yours and what you may not see value in, your partner may.

By organizing the garage, you free up space in your home, making it more livable, and may even find something of value that may be sold online. It may be a treasure trove in your home after all.

Finally! A great resource that contains the secret to Sealey Tools durable, trusted and reliable performance. It's great to finally have access to Sealey Tool Chest , tips, discounts, and where to find the best prices in town.
