Save money on jeans by purchasing old, faded jeans at garage sales and thrift stores and revitalizing them.  Put them in the washing machine with a thrift friendly package of fabric navy colored (indigo) dye.

Frugal footnotes:

Here are more frugal tips to save money on jeans.

- Most people keep their jeans a long time.  They are worn with holes, and are cut shorter.  You also have the option of using patches to cover holes or not covering them at all.

- Many craft projects are made from jean fabric, from book bags to quilts.

- Thrift stores carry an abundance of jeans.  Jeans are one of the most popular clothing items worn by people of all ages.  With a little searching you can find an acceptable used pair for very little money.

- If you want a more designer look for your jeans, find a pair that looks nice and embellish them.
