Ladders

ladder

Many people upgrade from wood ladders to steel ladders. Garage sales and thrift stores are a great frugal source for wooden ladders.

If you are planning on climbing on the ladder, be sure it is sturdy.  However, ladders have other less utilitarian uses.  Ladders have become very popular in home decoration.

Wooden ladders can be refinished and propped against the wall as a decorative accent.  You can use them to hang quilts or magazines, or place objects on the rungs.  You can hang towels from them in the bathroom or hang clothes to dry on them.  You can also hang them from the ceiling in your kitchen, and attach hooks to hang pots and pans.

Exercise thrift, use a little imagination, and decorate your home for less.
