Save money on lawn mowers by making them last as long as possible. Change the spark plug each year, empty the oil, and change the  filters as suggested by the manual.

Here are some more frugal tips to save money on lawnmowers.

 

- Buy the best quality lawn mower you can afford and that will do the job.  Most regular lawn mowers are not meant to mow more than 3/4 of an acre.
 
- Keeping your engine maintained will make it last and save money in the long run. The life
expectance of a lawn mower is between 7-10 years.  It may last longer with proper care. Change the spark plugs, oil and filter at the beginning of each year.
 
- Clean under the lawnmower to remove grass and stop rust from forming.
