Meat

beef meat

Save money on meat by making friends with your store's butcher.  He can help you pick out the best cuts of meat, the best thrift values of the day, let you know when sales are coming, or when meat is going to be marked down.  You can also shop stores like Costco, where you can buy it in bulk, split it up and freeze it.

Avoid buying bones in meat, as meat is priced per pound. It is also thrift friendly, as well as healthy,  to eat less meat.  Try going meatless a few nights a week.
