Pants: Storing Pants

pants

Save money on your pants by making them last as long as possible with proper storage.  Knit pants should be stored flat so they won't stretch.  Woven pants may be hung on a hanger.  To protect hanging pants from creases where they fold, use soft hangers, or put leftover bits of cloth, quilt batting or another soft material over the hanger. You can also tape cardboard from empty paper towels around the hanger to cushion it.

Frugal footnotes:

Here are some additional frugal tips to save money storing pants.

- If you are going to hang your pants, use plastic, not metal, hangers.

- Hang pants on hooks.

- Clothing needs to breathe.  Never store clothing in air-tight plastic bags.

- Get rid of clothing your don't wear.  Jamming clothing in a closet just causes wrinkles and
aggravations.
