Here are some more frugal tips to save money controlling pests.

- Spray your house yourself.  There are many products on the market that do a very good job of keeping bugs out of your house.  If you keep up with it, you shouldn't need professional help.

- Inspect your house regularly for termites.  Make sure there are no "tunnels" or other signs of infestation.

- Take care of any water damage to your home immediately.  Rotting wood always attracts insectsand destroys your home.

- Redo your caulking around bathtubs and sinks so that it is always tight and firm.

- Ants are easily killed by scattering oatmeal around them.  They eat it, bloat up, and die.
