Save money on popsicles by making them yourself out of items you might otherwise discard.  Invest in a couple popsicle molds.  Then fill them with the juice from fruit cans, other juice and water.

Here are a couple frugal popsicle recipes:

 

Jello Popsicles

Ingredients

1 package Jello
1 package Kool-Aid
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups hot water
2 cups cold water

Dissolve the Jello, Kool-Aid and sugar in the hot water.  Add the cold water, stir, and then pour into popsicle molds.

 

Orange Popsicles

Ingredients

1 box orange Jello
1 pkg orange flavored soft-drink mix
1 cup boiling water
1 cup orange juice


Dissolve the orange soft drink mix and gelatin in boiling water. Add the orange juice. Stir until all ingredients are dissolved and mixed. Put mixture into popsicle molds and freeze.
