Save money on potato chips by purchasing them in thrift
friendly large bags, and putting some of them in the freezer. If you leave
too many out, and they get old, you can make them crisp again by putting them in
the microwave for 10 seconds on full power.
Here are a couple easy and frugal dip recipes for your potato
2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 cups green onions, tops and bottoms (chopped)
8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup nuts (finely chopped)
mayonnaise or Miracle Whip to taste
Mix all the ingredients. Start with a small amount of
mayonnaise, and add as necessary.
Serve with chips or crackers.
Green Chili Cheese Dip
1 can chopped green chili peppers, mild or
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
Put the first 4 ingredients in a blender. Whip until smooth.
Slowly add the cream until the desired consistency is reached.
