Rubber Bands

rubber bands

Make your own thrift friendly rubber bands by recycling and repurposing old household items.  Cut the elastic top off pantyhose when you are done with them.  For a lighter band, cut the leg into rings. Cut the tops off old rubber gloves for heavy duty rubber bands.

Here are some more frugal tips to save money on rubber bands.

- Save all the free rubber bands that come your way, such as around newspapers or around your mail.

- Rubber bands can also be found in the produce department, around items like celery.

- If you need to buy larger, quality rubber bands, price check stores like Stapes and Walmart to the Costco business center and Internet sources.
