Cocoa Cookies

Frugal Homemade Chocolate Cookies

 


Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 Tbsp vegetable oil

 
Cream the shortening and the sugar until light and fluffy.  Add the egg and continue beating.
Mix the dry ingredients together and then add to mixture. 
 
 
Mix in the corn syrup and the vegetable oil. When well blended roll into balls, and the roll the balls in sugar.
 
 
Bake at 350  for 15 minutes.
