
Frugal people make a lot of soup to use up leftover
vegetables and pasta. Save money and time by making soup quickly with your
own soup starter mix. If you don't want to make your own mix, start with a
can of vegetable soup or beef bouillon, and add your own spices.

Soup Starter Ingredients
5 cups flour
4 cups powdered milk
1 chicken or beef bouillon
4 Tbsp. onion powder
2 tsps salt
1 1/2 tsps pepper
3 tsps Italian herbs
When you are ready to make soup, add to water at a 3:1 ratio
of water to the mix. Bring to a boil and simmer a few minutes. Then
add your leftover vegetables and pasta and heat. Store mix in a cool, dry
place.
