Save money substituting other sweetening products for white
granulated sugar when it is more thrift friendly, you need to use a product up
before it gets old, or you run out of white granulated sugar.
There are many
ways to sweeten food. If you use a liquid product, you need to reduce the
amount of liquid in the recipe by the amount of liquid added in the sweetening
some additional frugal sugar substitutions.
The following can all be substituted for a cup of
white, granulated sugar:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 cups molasses
- 2 cups corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
