Save money on toys by letting children play with things you already have around the house.  Children are very creative.  Toddlers can crawl into the kitchen, open a cupboard, and play with pots and pans for hours.   Let children use their imaginations and express their creativity in thrift friendly ways.

Here are some additional frugal tips to save money on toys.

- Most children have too many toys. Rotate them, so they don't get tired of them.  Put some of them out of sight, and then swap them out after a few months.

- Children love to play with empty cartons, empty gift wrap tubes, and other packaging.

- Let your children use your chairs and blankets to build forts and tunnels.

- Thrift stores are a great place to buy toys.  If they are still working, and have made it to a thrift store, they will continue working for a long time.
