Here is a potential thrift friendly way to add landscaping to your property.  If you live in a city and have an easement running along the front, back or side of your property (usually for utility lines), check with your city (the Public Work's Dept) to see if they offer free tree planting for these areas.

- Always buy bare root trees in the Spring
 
- Plant fruit trees in your landscape instead of decorative trees.
