Christmas can be such fun. You can also learn some interesting things.
Such was the case this year for grandma and grandpa. We have 3 sons and 9
grandchildren. There is a picture of me with the "Little Rascals" below.
As you can see from the picture, many of them are the same age. In fact, 3
of them were born in the same year.
What does this have to do with money? I am almost, for once, without
words. However, I'm sure there has to be a lesson here.
Turns out when kids get together they talk about money. They talk about
how they get money. Apparently not only do they believe in the Tooth
Fairy, but they have discovered that some Tooth Fairies have more money than
other Tooth Fairies.
So one of my grandsons, who was making a lot more money from his Tooth Fairy when his baby teeth
came out, decided he needed more teeth! Where to get them? Why....
his cousin, of course!
So he made a deal with him. He gave him $1.00, with
the promise that when his cousin lost his next tooth, he would give it to him.
Hum! Ingenious, yes. Aside from that...not so sure. His dad
made him give back the money and the "deal" was canceled.
Take what you want
from this story. A lot of us have done the "Lemonade Stand" thing. I
have to admit...never thought of this one!
