Vacuum Cleaners

vacuum cleaner

Take good frugal care of your vacuum cleaner.  Always check the beater brush before using your vacuum.  Your vacuum picks up fiber and strings and they wrap tightly around the beater bar.  This stops the bar from turning  and the motor on your vacuum will burn out trying to turn the bar.

Here are some additional frugal tips to save money on vacuum cleaners.

- Buy vacuum cleaners that don't require bags.  You have more filters to clean, but don't have to spend the money on new bags.
- Clean your beater bar after each use of your vacuum cleaner.
- Keep a stick with a piece of flannel wrapped around it to pick up loose threads and other small fiber in hobby rooms before you vacuum to protect your beater bar.
- Use all the features of your vacuum cleaner, including using the brushes to clean your drapes.
