Water: Lawns

lawn

Save money in the summer on water by raising the blades on your lawn mower.  It is thrift friendly to keep the grass a little longer in the summer.  The longer grass blades will shade and protect and roots of the grass so that they don't dry out, and your lawn will need less water.

Here are some additional frugal tips to save money watering your lawn.

- Water your lawn fewer times but deeper each time.

- Water in the early morning to avoid losing water to evaporation.

- Wash your car on the lawn.
