Save money on wreaths by using one basic wreath and decorating it differently for the holidays and seasons.

Grape wreaths are versatile, allowing you to tie decorations on them, wrap ribbon around the branches, or attach other embellishments that can be easily removed and replaced at the end and start of each holiday or special occasion.  Save your trims and embellishments, and use, recycle, and repurpose them.

Here are some additional frugal tips to make wreaths.

- Be creative when it comes to making wreaths.  You can make them out of anything from pom-poms to to ribbon, lace and even rocks.

- Small Christmas ornaments look wonderful tied on a plain fir wreath.  Pick them up on sale after  Christmas.

- Look for used wreaths that you can fix up at thrift stores and garage sales.
